No brew brew night

Oops! No one remembered to order a new batch for this week! It was supposed to be a pale ale but with no ingredients we just did some racking and a bit of work on freeing up keg space!

This was to be pale ale week since the week after several of us will be gone so it was a planed week off. But with no brew this week next week is now going to have a brew, the pale ale, just with short staff as I’ll be out of town, Nick and J will be out of town and Bart is back east for a few weeks.

Nicks Cream Ale again surprised us by showing continuing signs of fermentation…so at great distress to Nick it was decided to let it sit again. Besides - no keg was availalbe. We did have one but since the Porter was definately done (reading 1.012 but I’m almost sure that was due to temp variation) it got to jump straight to keg giving the Cream Ale the time it seems to want.

In Secondary: Dunkelweizen and Cream Ale
Carbonating: Chocolate Porter, Scottish 80/-,Sweet Stout and Belgian Dubble
On Tap: Irish Draught II

We did try the Sweet Stout and Belgian Dubbles again as well as the Scottish 80/-. But the focus was on draining the other Irish Draught. No luck but it’s close…real close.
